HENDRIX

My body aches as I walk across the locker room with a towel cinched around my waist after our win against Tampa Bay. I have been pushing myself harder than I ever have and although it’s paid off on the field with four wins in a row this week, it’s taking its toll. I did this after my split with Kylie too. If I’m not in the gym training, I’m in the cage taking extra reps it’s the only way I know from letting the anger consume me.

My exhausted body sinks to the bench and I run my hands down my face. The locker room is mostly empty, all the guys having cleared out to celebrate with their families or head to Draft. Cruz, Dom, Dean and Xavier all rushed through their showers to meet Lilah there.

I’m not going, I just don’t have it in me tonight. Despite my success on the field, everything else in my life feels like it’s falling apart.
